I am a special education teacher with 10 years experience teaching at the middle school level. I have also spent time teaching elementary school, from 1st grade to 5th grade. My elementary experience has significantly strengthened my ability to modify and support older kids with more challenging curriculum. I received my Master’s Degree in Special Education, with coursework in a variety of topics: modifications/accommodations, counseling, autism, reading instruction, assessments, and more. I have a particular interest and strength with behavior management, social skills, reading, and study skills. If you’re interested, feel free to read more about my expertise.
Teaching at a middle school really always is exciting, hilarious, and fast-paced. So many times at school, something has happened and I’ve said, “I should write a book”. Well, instead, I started writing a blog. There is never a boring day in the life of a teacher!
