Let's talk strategies and supports for kids who ar Let's talk strategies and supports for kids who are failing. Research has shown that just keeping kids back doesn't lead to any better outcomes.⁣
⁣
Now, I know it's early on in the school year to be talking about keeping kids back. But I mention it now because I feel like the time to have these conversations is now (not months from now when a student is failing and getting a letter sent home).⁣
⁣

⁣
And the responsibility shouldn't all fall on classroom teachers.⁣
⁣
I plan to write an article on this, but I'd love to open it up for discussion.⁣
⁣
What strategies and interventions do you use for kids who are failing or at risk for failing?
