My name is Kristina (you can call me Kris) and I am special educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. Most of that time I spent teaching middle school, but I have spent time teaching elementary and high school learners as well. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from the University of Hartford and started teaching right after graduation. A few years later, I received my master’s degree in special education with a specialization in autism from the University of Saint Joseph. I chose coursework in a variety of topics: social skills, modifications/accommodations, counseling, reading instruction, assessments, and more. I have a particular interest and strength with social emotional learning, behavior management, coping strategies, mindfulness, social skills, autism, executive functioning, and study skills. If you’re interested, feel free to read more about my expertise.
I am currently a full-time curriculum designer, creating educational resources for special educators, interventionists, behavior specialists, regular educators, parents, and other support professionals. I am inspired by being able to help support thousands of educators all around the world with the resources I create.
Besides education, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my dog, Nova, going hiking, birdwatching, practicing Bikram yoga, watching hockey (go St. Louis Blues!) and cooking. While I have lived in Connecticut my entire life, I love exploring new areas near and far! Some of my favorite destinations have been San Diego, CA and Pittsburg, NH.
As an educator and curriculum specialist, my goal is always to help all learners find their pathway to success! Thank you for being part of that journey with me.
